GSC Game World of Ukraine announced a temporary halt to the development of STALKER 2 with a new video posted on YouTube and cited its reasons.
Light… Camera… War. You can watch the video posted under the name below.
“The previous week we were editing a video about our motion-capture studio. We wanted to show you how we create inter-scenes. We watched videos, we wrote scripts, we talked to actors.
Last week, it feels like years ago.
On February 24, Russia declared war on Ukraine, sending missiles, tanks and soldiers into our home. Our country must once again fight for its existence. Apparently that’s the price of freedom.”
In the video, which shares images from attacks and explosions in Ukraine, the studio continues:
“This video tells us, “How are you?; Our answer to those who ask. We are currently busy helping our employees and families to survive. We had to put game development aside. We’re definitely going to keep going. After the victory. Long live Ukraine”
We hope that the world will be free of this nightmare soon, and that GSC Game World can return to doing what it loves.
