The 1999 Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Californication is well known to rock lovers. The video clip was also highly appreciated by gamers because it was designed as if it were an open-world computer game that came out of the GTA.
RHCP’s Californication clip finally becomes a game
When the clip came out, a lot of people thought the game was coming soon, but it never happened. Until recently. Thanks to the work of independent game developer Miquel Camps Orteza, it has been transformed into a seven-level video game in total. Orteza said it was inspired by Crazy Taxi and offered to download the game completely free of charge. You can download Californication for free here . Of course, it’s up to you to donate to the producer if you want.
Orteza said, “I wanted to play that game so bad! It’s 2022 and I’ve never seen anyone make the play, so I challenged myself to create it,” he said.
The project, which was put forward as an idea during a two-day game jam event, ended with Orteza appearing as a finished game project with its continuation.
