Frontier Developments, known for games such as Elite Dangerous, Planet Coaster, Jurassic World Evolution 1 &2 and Planet Zoo, has announced its first sports game. F1 Manager 2022, which will be released later this summer, is Frontier’s first annual sports license. Frontier’s deal with F1 will include a large number of games.
F1 Manager 2022 will be released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. The game will be available on both Steam and the Epic Store for PC.
“With F1 Manager 2022, it will give you what it’s like to be in a vital role in the paddock of the world’s most vibrant motorsport,” says the developer.
Frontier will be able to make games involving four F1 seasons under its licence (2022-2025), but the agreement also states that these games must meet certain financial performance criteria.
