Game publisher Atari has announced the acquisition of video game database company Moby Games.
In November last year, Atari expressed interest in buying Moby Games when it invested in retro game streaming service AntStream.
Jeremiah Freyholtz, who has helped run the site since 2013, will continue as managing director, the company said.
“I am confident that this transition will allow MobyGames to remain an important community-oriented project, and that Atari’s participation puts us in the best position for long-term stability and success,” Freyholtz said.
