Riot Games continues to expand the LOL universe with the newly announced League of Legends novel. Announcing the book project, which is being run in partnership with Orbit Books, Riot said the novel would be released in September. The novel Ruination will reportedly focus on the story of League of Legends character Kalista.
League of Legends novel to be released in winter 2022
Along with Kalista, the book will also feature Viego, one of the characters recently added to the game. Ruination will focus on the relationship between these two characters, but will originally put Kalista at the center. The book’s preliminary description states:
“Kalista, King Viego’s military general, sets out to search for a mythical land that could be the key to an ancient spell that could save the poisoned queen Isolde.”
Riot Games confirmed the arrival of arcane’s second season, the first season of which was watched with great interest. In addition, Riot is focused on expanding the League of Legends universe and launching game-related products on different media channels, with a Role-Playing Game and various in-game events focusing on the story of the book’s other character, Viego. The first short story about the LOL universe was the Garen: First Shield short story, published in 2020.
