The Future Games Spring Show showed a variety of games. One of them was The Time I Have Left, which appeared on the show with the announcement video.
The Time I Have Left; it is described by its producers as a ‘time-based escape adventure’ that includes RSOs elements. Our hero, Aline, is infected with a mysterious disease; Due to this disease called The Miasma, on the brink of death, there are now hours left. To save our hero, we need to help him escape the underground complex called Colony 7 in six hours.
As with Deathloop, some key events happen at a certain time; we can find hidden story pieces, special objects, secrets, shortcuts, etc. in a specific time frame. The game features a conflict mechanics that is characterized as dynamic turn-based; But the conflicts seem to be more about avoiding dangerous and frightening creatures, getting rid of them. So, it’s not one of those games where I cut out what’s in front of me, it’s important to get out of this dangerous environment as fast as 🙂 (That’s how I liken it to Little Nightmares, I’:) never forgive).
Its makers say they are inspired by classics, especially PS1-era adventure games, but they also break the mold to produce an original game. We’ll see if that’s the case next year. The Time I Have Left, the first game from Barcelona-based gaming studio Ground, founded in 2020, is expected to debut in 2023. If you want to get it on your watchlist, you can find the Steam page here .
