Earlier this year, Ubisoft decided to end its battle royale game Hyper Scape. The game, which soon lost a significant portion of its player base, could not recover, and Ubisoft admitted that the game was extremely difficult and a little boring.
Ubisoft is now working on a new third-person shooter game reminiscent of Hyper Scape, Exputer reported. The name (or code name) of the game is Pathfinder, according to site sources.
The graphic design of the game evokes Hyper Scape. In the game, teams of four players will be left on the map and reach the center of the map and try to download the AI-controlled boss there. Players will have to go through two walls, one outside, one interior, which gates on these walls can be opened or passed, which will change in each game.
As you get closer to the center of the map, the challenge of AI enemies will increase. Since the game is PvPvE, the map will probably be contested with other teams.
The characters in Pathfinder are called Heroes, all of whom will have their own abilities.
It’s good that Ubisoft will make the formula more interesting after the failure of Hyper Scape and try a different idea once again, but whether they can succeed this time is a question mark. At least they chose an easy-to-name game, hyper space and hyper scape were often confused 🙂
