There are different punk movements covered in the games, of course, but cyberpunk 2077 must have been a hotly-known cyberpunk theme in recent years, 🙂 We have seen various examples in recent years such as Ghostrunner, Cloudpunk, The Red Strings Club, The Ascent. Now another game is added to this list; Citizen Sleeper is set to meet gamers next month:
Citizen Sleeper, the new game from Jump Over The Age, which previously brought In Other Waters to gamers, is an NSC set in “Erlin;s Eye,” a dilapidated space station that is home to thousands of people trying to survive on the fringes of an interstellar capitalist society.
Our character is a “sleeper”, a digitized human consciousness trapped in an artificial body. Any commodity for the company that owns this size is another object in their portfolio. We strive to maintain our presence, make friends, do work to save the day and make money, and hope to see the next cycle. As can be seen from here, we are in a very dystopian fiction; Capitalism has become even wilder than we know it to be.
In the words of the developer team, this is a game where desktop RSOs try to offer flexibility and freedom. I hope he manages to be the game they’re aiming for.
The theme was one of the games I added to my watch list last summer. We’ll meet him in exactly a month; It will debut on May 5 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Switch.
