ASUS Announces NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Graphics Cards

 

 

ASUS has announced ROG Strix LC GeForce RTX™ 3090 Ti and TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics cards. Models come in Standard and Overclocked (OC) versions.

 

Designed for gamers, creators, and data scientists with high expectations and demands, the NVIDIA® GeForce RTX 3090 Ti has a record number of CUDA cores with 10,752. The card provides power at 78 RT-TFLOP, 40 Shader-TFLOP and 320 Tensor-TFLOP levels. With the highest speed of 21 Gbps, 24GB of GDDR6X memory delivers 1TB/s of memory bandwidth.

Rog Strix LC GeForce RTX 3090 Ti keeps temperatures and noise levels under tight control with its closed-circuit liquid cooling system. The first stage of the cooling system is the specially designed cold plate, which covers the graphics processor and the built-in GDDR6X memory. This plate provides world-class cooling for components responsible for pure performance. The 560 mm tube offers flexible options for installing radiators even in large cases or systems with AIO CPU coolers: a 240 mm radiator and a pair of 120 mm ARGB fans generate high static pressure coolant airflow. The blower fan and the low profile cooling block under the front cover remove the heat generated by the power distribution components. This whole system fits into a slim design that takes up 2.6 slots.

Thanks to various features, it is possible to easily install this video card and get high performance in the long run. Power detection circuits warn the user with a strong LED light when the card is not plugged into the PSU with a 1 x 16 pin power connection. And when there’s not enough power to the card, this light flashes. Two FanConnect II headers allow users to connect case fans to the video card, increasing airflow when the GPU is under load. Industrial design lines dominate the angled, matte black, metallic front cover. This cover covers 3.2 slots of space and a cooling block. The cooling block keeps the GPU, VRAM and power distribution circuit cool even at peak loads.

Three fans with Axis Technology transmit enough air to the cooling block with a large surface area. ASUS has expanded the width of each fan to 1.5 cm to increase static pressure. In addition, all fans have a half-length barrier ring that focuses the air where it is needed.

 

The fan in the middle rotates in the clockwise direction, while the other fans turn in the opposite direction, reducing turbulence. Thanks to this successful design, fans can rotate faster and more air can be transmitted to the absorscrein without increasing noise. The memory-specific cooling block keeps the massive capacity GDDR6X memory cool on the card, delivering fast and reliable performance. The 0 dB fan stop mode ensures that the card runs silently when idle or under low load. The full-size backplate is adorned with a variety of TUF Gaming graphics. The wide opening in front of the PCB helps to get the hot air out of the cooling block.
