Game developer Beamdog has announced that it has entered into a deal to be acquired by Aspyr Media, a subsidiary of Embracer Group.
The purchase agreement also includes the publisher’s acquisition of Beamdo’s first original game, MythForce.
The developer was founded in 2009 by Trent Oster, co-founder of Bioware and former Bioware employee Cameron Tofer.
He continued to stream old games such as Baldur’s Gate and Planescape: Torment for consoles.
“This acquisition opens the door to many exciting opportunities for us,” beamdog CEO Oster said.
