Patrick Plourde, who played creative director in Child of Light, Watch Dogs 2, Far Cry 3 and more at Ubisoft, announced his departure after 19 years. Following this separation, Plourde will continue to work independently and work with Ubisoft outside the traditional corporate structure.
Plourde said of the breakup: “Most of my time will still be with Ubisoft. But now I will be located outside a traditional structure. I will have a position to work independently and will take on the role of consultant in the process. I will also be interested in other areas outside the game.”
Longtime Ubisoft developer Patrick Plourde, who had senior creative roles on Watch Dogs 2, Child of Light and more in a 19-year run has left the company. Most recently in Ubisoft’s editorial team. Says he’s going into consulting and will still work with Ubisoft.

Meanwhile, a group called A Better Ubisoft reported that Plourde had multiple reports of misconduct. In addition, he noted that there are problems with harassment, abuse and discrimination within Ubisoft’s work culture.
