The long-awaited Modern Warfare 2 announcement may come soon. Cod fans were thrilled when the game’s producer Infinity Ward’s Twitter and Facebook accounts went dark since Friday. It has long been talked about that Modern Warfare 2, which will be a sequel to Modern Warfare, which was renewed in 2019, will be released in 2022.

Infinity Ward has replaced the profll and cover photos of its social media accounts with black images. However, when IGN lit up the cover photo, it captured a shot reminiscent of the famous Call of Duty character Ghost.
Looking at the image, part of the picture can be said to really resemble Simon “Ghost” Riley, the famous SAS Operator of Modern Warfare and Warzone. Activision confirmed in February that the sequel to Modern Warfare 2019 will be released this year with Warzone. The firm emphasized that the two games were designed together.

Time will tell how many weeks (or days) the announcement will come after Infinity Ward blacks out its social media accounts.
