Activision Blizzard’s quarterly earnings report said the number of monthly active users fell by more than 50 million in a year. This report covers all Activision Blizzard games and is based on the period from March 31, 2021 to March 31, 2022.
The company has 435 million monthly active users as of March 31, 2021 and has 372 million active users as of March 31, 2022.
If we consider the studios owned by the company separately, we can say that the number of users of Activision games has decreased by a third. Activision saw a drop from 150 million to 100 million.
Blizzard’s number of players, meanwhile, decreased by five million from 27 million to 22 million. King, the gaming giant’s mobile arm, saw a drop of eight million from 258 million to 250 million.
Activision Blizzard reported net income for the three months ended March 31, 2022 at $1.77 billion. That figure was $2.28 billion for the same period in 2021.
