Borderlands maker Gearbox seems pretty busy. According to the latest financial quarterly report of Embracer Group, the giant game company that includes Gearbox, Gearbox 9 is in the process of developing new AAA games. Embracer Group came up with the sale of Square Enix Tomb Raider and Deus Ex .

Borderlands maker Gearbox doesn’t sit idle

It is not yet known which wing of the new games Gearbox, which has both producer and publisher sections, is part of. In its financial report, Embracer Group stated:

“Gearbox continues to work within the framework of its ambitious growth plan and is currently in the development of 9 new AAA games.”

The games that Gearbox is currently known to be working on are Homeworld 3, Hyper Light Breaker, Relic Hunters Legends, Have a Nice Death, and Eyes in the Dark: The Curious Case of One Victoria Bloom, but according to some, most of these games do not fall into the “AAA gaming” category.

Another important game that Gearbox is known to be working on is Tales From The Borderlands 2. Revenues from the umbrella firm Embracer Group grew 17 percent thanks to better-than-expected sales of games like Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Embracer Group said sales of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands “exceeded the expectations of the executive team.”
