Hearthstone’s new 23.2.2 update has caused one of the game’s valuable cards to eat serious nerf. The name of the card in question is Drek; Thar. The card, which normally drives two minions from the player’s deck onto the battlefield, will only draw a single mint after the nerf, a change that will significantly reduce the use of the card.
But it’s not about a card eating nerf. There is also a Diamond version of this popular card. The Diamond version cards, which are also above the Gold version, actually serve the same as the standard versions, but there are animation differences. So you pay this money to have a card in the colors of Diamonds and to impress your opponent by drawing this card during the game.
However, nafusing a card that players bought for $ 25 ($ 250 at the new Blizzard rate) could of course attract a serious reaction from the players who paid for this card. Blizzard made a smart move ahead of nerf to avoid this.
If you want to buy this card using in-game gold, you pay 3000 gold (as you know, gold is very valuable in Hearthstone). Here’s Diamond Drek in the Blizzard deck; Thar gave 3000 gold coins to all players with cards. Thus, those who bought the card, especially using gold, did not lose anything.
What’s more, Blizzard didn’t touch the card in the players’ decks, meaning it was like players got it for free.
Of course, although there is a large segment of people who are satisfied with this, there are also those who express their dissatisfaction. In the end, those players were like they had bought 3000 gold for $25, maybe they didn’t have such a plan. But in general, it can be said that Blizzard has handled this change well.
