Although Capcom has eaten the bread of both new games and remake versions of the Resident Evil series in recent years, when we look at its general catalog, we see that it has one of the largest original IP rosters in the game world.

Among them are Lost Planet, Okami, Dragon;s Dogma.

At a Q&A event with investors, Capcom responded to a question about its long-dormant IP;s plans as follows:

“At the moment, we are making our plans for the upcoming games according to the demand data from the market. From now on, we will continue to evaluate the requests from the players while creating our game squad.”

Companies don’t pretend to have information that isn’t in their plans in meetings with investors, after all, these are questions and answers that directly affect investments. So if they didn’t have a plan in that direction, they would have said, “We have no plans to resurrect our sleeping series.”

In 2020, Capcom announced an original IP for the first time in a very long time; Pragmata will be with us in 2023.
