Publisher Rogue Games and developer Game Grumps have announced Homebody, a story-driven psychological horror game inspired by 1980s movies. The game will debut for Consoles and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in 2022. It has not been announced which consoles it will debut.
Homebody director Jory Griffis said of the game in a press release: “We’re obsessed with horror games. So it’s a natural change for us to turn to the horror genre after Dream Daddy. We’re going to give you more than enough everything we’ve learned while doing Dream Daddy.”
Homebody follows a group of friends who are chasing memories of the past and trying to be hunted by a ruthless killer. It comes across as a survival horror puzzle game. Continue your life on this path or fail to try.
Emily and her schoolmates gather in a remote rented house to watch the Perseid meteor shower. They try to rekindle the bonds they once had. But with persistent emotional wounds and social anxieties, Emily feels lonely more alone than ever.
After collecting, the electricity is suddenly cut off. Under the cover of darkness, a mysterious killer catches them one by one. If Emily doesn’t find a way out, she’ll be trapped in this nightmare forever.
