Hideaki Itsuno, director of Dragon;s Dogma (also of the Power Stone and Devil May Cry series), retweeted Capcom;s event announcement, fueling the Dragon;s Dogma 2 rumors.
We’ve known for a long time that Capcom is working on Dragon;s Dogma 2, but there’s still no official announcement.
Itsuno shared the message of the Capcom Dev 1 Twitter account that “don’t miss the event for the latest Capcom information.” Capcom Dev 1 is the developer of series that have gained great fame all over the world, such as Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Dead Rising. Dev 2 is responsible for fighting series, while Dev 3 focuses on games such as Monster Hunter and Ace Attorney, which primarily appeal to Japan.
Capcom will hold a Capcom Showcase next week, but the official statement says “a 35-minute event featuring new news and updates from previously announced Capcom games.” However, it does not mean that there will be no surprises at the event.
Whether the Dragon;s Dogma 2 announcement is made at Capcom Showcase or at one of the other events of the month, we’ll see if it’s in a few days.
