New Blood Interactive, which we know with retro-style FPS such as Dusk, Amid Evil and Ultrakill, is currently working on various new projects. In addition to Gloomwood, there’s also a bird’s-eye shooter, a drive-in war game, and a classic Fallout-style RPG that CEO Dave Oshry calls “my dream game.”
We don’t know much about this retro futuristic isometric RPG yet, but even the details provided by New Blood were enough to excite Fallout lovers.
In addition to Oshry, this “passion project” also includes game developer Adam Lacko, illustrator Alexander Berezin and musician Mark Morgan.
Adam Lacko is the name behind Project Van Buren, which is trying to renew the original Fallout 3, and is one of the well-known names in the community. Alexander Berezin, known by the pseudonym Red888guns, is a highly experienced illustrator who also worked in the Fallout Sonora and Olympus 2207 modes.
Mark Morgan is the composer of the music for the first two Fallout games, as well as Planescape: Torment, Wasteland 2 and Wasteland 3. He’s a very big name for the Fallout community.
It seems hard to do a bad job from such a passionate team, so I’m as excited about this anonymous project as Oshry.
