Bethesda Game Studios Executive Producer Todd Howard made new statements about the 5th game of the Fallout series in an interview with IGN. In this direction, he stated that the game will be developed after The Elder Scrolls VI.
Howard added: “The Elder Scrolls VI is currently in pre-development. After this game, we will switch to Fallout 5. For this reason, our list is quite full for a while. Of course, we have other projects that we look at from time to time.”
Bethesda Game Studios’ next game, Starfield, will debut for Xbox Series X|S and PC in the first half of 2023. The game will also be available on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
With Starfield’s debut next year, the focus will be on The Elder Scrolls VI. TES VI will most likely be published in 2026 at the earliest. This also means that it will take about eight years or more for Fallout 5 to debut.
Fallout: New Vegas, which debuted in 2010, was developed by Obsidian Entertainment. Therefore, it is among the possibilities that Fallout 5 will be given to a different studio.
