Alice: Madness Returns, an action adventure game developed by Spicy Horse Games and Electronic Arts, has been removed from Steam for an unspecified reason. The reason for the removal on Steam is that it only states: “At the request of the publisher, Alice: Madness Returns is no longer sold on Steam.” This is a broad statement.
Alice: Madness Returns isn’t the first time it’s been removed from Steam. The game was previously discontinued in 2011. It was last added to the Steam platform in February 2022 and is currently out of sale again.

It’s not entirely clear why Alice: Madness Returns suddenly and unexpectedly disappeared from Steam. However, a post on Twitter states that while the Akaneiro game is being removed from Steam, all other Spicy Horse games have also been removed.
The post, published by American McGee, additionally reads: “I heard that while I tried to remove Akaneiro from Steam, all other Spicy Horse games were also removed. We are working to contact support and resolve this issue.”
