With Avengers: Endgame, a leaf fall began in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Spider-Man: Far From Home, we officially ended the third period of the MCU and entered a very different fourth period, especially with the Disney+ series. Just as expected, the fourth phase was a transitional period for the MCU, often witnessing successor/predecessor adventures for the original Avengers members. We said goodbye to Hawkeye and Black Widow with their own projects. We are now coming to the end of the fourth phase, and in the fifth stage, a much greater series of events awaits us.
In a recent interview with Total Film, MCU’s big boss Kevin Feige made some important statements about the future of the MCU;
“As we approach the end of the fourth phase, I think people are starting to see what will happen in the coming period. To me, there were a lot of clues, at least it seemed to me. It is clear where the coming period will go.”
The fact that this statement was made especially after Doctor Strange 2 immediately revived the Secret Wars comic in the minds of fans. Because the collision of universes and the intersection of various parallel universes prepared a wonderful ground for the Secret Wars story. However, it is quite possible that we will see the story where Doctor Doom comes to the fore in the comics in a slightly changed way in the MCU way. In particular, we can watch a different Secret Wars adaptation in which Kang will take a more active part.
As we approach the end of the fourth stage, the fourth Thor film, Love and Thunder, and the She-Hulk series, where we will meet the heir of the Hulk, may also be quite important. In addition, the third film in which we will say goodbye to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Guardians of the Galaxy, where the future of Wakanda will be shaped, will also give an idea about the structure of the MCU both on earth and in the cosmic universe. Now, with the fifth stage, expectations have peaked, especially for the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. Let’s see if we’re really going to watch a Secret Wars story adorned with the MCU formula. Or do Kevin Feige and his friends have completely different stories in mind?
