Dark Knight actor Christian Bale says he wants to play Batman again, but will only star in a film directed by Christopher Nolan.
In a recent interview, Bale shared his thoughts on Batman. In the interview, he stated that Nolan was only planning a trilogy. He also said that if Nolan has a new story to tell, he would be happy to return to the stage.
Nolan directed the critically acclaimed Dark Knight trilogy, which consisted of 2005’s Batman Begins, 2008’s The Dark Knight, and 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises. Bale played billionaire Bruce Wayne and his alter ego, the masked outlawed Batman.
In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Bale talked about the possibility of a return to the series. But he noted that this could only happen through Nolan. Bale added: “I had a deal with Chris Nolan. I said let’s make three movies and then disperse. No need to linger and prolong too much.
But Chris Nolan has another story to tell one day, will you take part in it? If he had asked, I would definitely have participated.”
