It’s been nearly 3 months since Ron Gilbert surprisingly announced Return to Monkey Island as if it were a very ordinary event. The visuals shared from the game were (in my opinion) exciting, but the part that was even more exciting was that we could finally learn the secret of Monkey Island and the fact that both the original cast was included in this game, which would tell the direct sequel of the first two games.
Ron Gilbert just shared a long gameplay trailer of the game as if it were the most normal thing in the world!
“Hey, care what I found buried in a folder on my desktop. I should have shared this a month ago,” he said, throwing a lot of Guybrush, Elaine, LeChuck, Stan, Murray, Voodoo Lady and many more.
Whether it’s the music playing or the familiar locations in some scenes, it’s a trailer that’s both nostalgic and evokes new emotions. I can’t wait to get this game!
