As you know, Battlefield 2042 was one of the most experimental games in the series. The job listings made by EA show that the new game will have a scenario mode. In fact, this recruitment list has been live since February. Ea is looking for a design director at Battlefield Seattle. The new studio will focus entirely on BF games and is led by Marcus Letho, one of Halo’s leading figures.
The features sought after for the design director show that the next Battlefield game will include a single-player campaign mode. We think it should. They’re looking for someone who “embraces the basic principles of the Battlefield series and will make sure all layers of an expertly designed single-player campaign mode are handled.” They also say they are looking for someone with at least 10 years of experience, who has worked in large teams.

At BF 2042, as you know, all the weight was on the multiplayer part. Players could fight together with up to 128 people, but after a while after the release of the game, some maps were restricted. This experimental work both damaged fans’ love for the series and forced the EA and DICE teams to return to traditional methods.
Although the work for the new game has begun, EA has not yet left BF 2042. The first season wrapped up earlier this month, and EA also launched an event that it expects to breathe new life into the game. So while the next game is coming, the company hasn’t thrown in the towel in favor of the final game yet.
