Oddworld: Soulstorm was one of the productions announced atthe “Future of Games”event, where the PlayStation 5 console was introduced. Developed and released by Oddworld Inhabitants, the 2.5D action adventure game finally comes out in two weeks after a few postponements. In this brand new adventure, Abe’s epic story will reach breaking point. Speaking to Wccftech,series creator Lorne Lanning sharednew details about the sequel . The game will be released exclusively on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Lanningsaid in a statement, “PlayStation believed in both us and our game and volunteered to support us financially in our development process. It was a great opportunity with a great partner. They have already proven to be excellent by incorporating us into many of their digital showcases.”

Lanning also confirmed that the game will last 20 hours and will run at 1440p resolution and 60 FPS on PS5 in terms of performance. Soulstorm, a sequel to Oddworld: New ‘N’ Tasty, delivers stunning visuals with the PlayStation 5’s ultra-high-speed SSD and DualSense wireless controller, as well as Tempest 3D AudioTech technology that makes it feel as if you’re with Abe. In addition, DualSense will make a technical difference to the game with its tactile feedback and adaptive triggers.
Oddworld: Soulstorm, a dark account of the epic story of a mixed society struggling with boundaries, picks up where New ‘n’ Tasty ends and begins the second chapter in Abe’s heroic journey. In the second play, which follows the events of Oddworld: New ‘N’ Tasty in 2014, we will witness Abe’s heroic adventures. In the game, Abe undergoes a transformation from the hopeless Mudokon wheel, which is about to be trampled by the Glucose’s mega-corporate machines, and becomes a rising, unexpected hero as a beacon of hope.
Oddworld: Soulstorm will be released for PC on April 6, 2021 through PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and the Epic Games Store. The PlayStation 5 version of the game will be available for free to PS Plus subscribers during the release month.
