EA has announced the new hiring process for the single-player portion of the next Battlefield game. According to the announcement that the Design Director is being called, the staff to be employed will work on the single-player mode of the game.
According to the job posting, the qualities sought are: “The Battlefield Seattle team is focused on creating rich and exciting stories with memorable characters and powerful experiences across the entire Battlefield universe. We’re building a new studio in the Seattle area made up of leaders and talent with a wide variety of AAA game development experience. We are focused on building a competent and diverse team with whom we can make great games.
Your mission at this location will be to adopt the core principles of the Battlefield series and adapt them to the expertly designed single-player mode. On the one hand, you will form the design team and culture of the studio, and on the other hand, you will manage the process from concept to publication. While adhering to the core vision, you will also need to pay attention to feedback from colleagues, company partners and team members.”
Electronic Arts’ Seattle studio was founded last year and is led by Marcus Lehto, Bungie’s former creative director. Lehto was the art director of the original Halo, Halo 2 and Halo 3.
