There has been a lot of news lately from Rockstar, the favorite company of the players that stands out with Grand Thef Auto, Red Dead Redemption and more. The team, which recently announced that it has shifted all its focus to the new game of the GTA series, has spent all its resources on this game. Now, a new rumor reports that the next-generation console versions of RDR 2 have been canceled.
Rockstar, which tries to bring each game to more than one platform, previously announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 will come to the next generation consoles. Similarly, Grand Theft Auto V, which was initially released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, was released on the latest generation consoles. Then it came to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles in March 2022.
The rumor that emerged by Twitter user Tez2 is that the next-generation console versions of RDR 2 have been canceled. Also last week, the same user reported that the remaster versions of GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption were canceled.
All these cancellation rumors and postponements show that Rockstar is completely focused on GTA VI. Reportedly, all background work is being suspended and resources are being spent on the new game.
Per Tez2, it doesn’t look like Rockstar Games wants to ship out a new enhanced version of #RedDeadRedemption2 for next-gen consoles anytime soon.
It’s an absolute crime to abandon this game over GTAV. pic.twitter.com/lZWsJTX8sq
