A rather ambitious announcement came for the mobile version of eFootball PES 2021, which announced that the game has been downloaded by more than 400 million users. Konami also announced a series of events to celebrate the game’s great success. Konami, which apparently had its most profitable period with Pachinko games in Japan, has achieved great success on the mobile platform in the western market. The company’s statement on the matter reads:

Konami Digital Entertainment, B.V. announced in a statement that the eFootball PES 2021 mobile game has been downloaded more than 400 million times on iOS and Android platforms. eFootball PES brand ambassador Lionel Messi will celebratethis achievement today (April 7) at 2 p.m. with an interview to be broadcast on his official PES Twitter account.
This interview will also form the basis of an event with the hashtag #MessiChallenge on social media. If more than 40,000 people attend the event, where players will answer questions about Messi, KONAMI will present participants with a brand new Iconic Moments Messi featuring Lionel Messi. To help participants, some tips on Q&A activity will be shared through the day.
