The Sims 4 sexual orientation feature is coming

The Sims 4 sexual orientation feature is being added to the game. With the game’s new add-on pack, “High School Years,” players will be presented with a screen where they can determine their Sim’s sexual orientation. With the Sexaul Orientation option, which will be next to the “Gender” option for your Sim, players who want to can specifically choose which gender their character is oriented to.

The sexual orientation feature in The Sims 4 is still at the beginning level

The official site of the game about the feature has the following statements:
” With the Sexual Orientation feature, you will be able to set sexual attractiveness parameters for your SIM. This is a simple system that determines who your character will be emotionally attracted to. If another character outside of your SİM’s sexual interest tries to step into a romantic relationship, he will be rejected.” Maxis also shared the image of the aforementioned box.

SimGuruJessica, the head of the design team for the High School Years package, said that the system is still in its infancy and that the options for jinn are limited to “Female” and “Male” for now. SimGuruJessica said the frustration was due to technical reasons:

“I am aware that the options you have now are just the usual “binary gender” (binary) options. For technical reasons, “non-binary” Sims aren’t in The Sims 4 yet. We still have a long way to go before we can represent non-binary roles in terms of gender.”

This new gender orientation feature won’t be exclusive to the new add-on pack, and will be available in all versions of The Sims 4.  SimGuruJessica stressed that there will be no option for people who want to turn off this feature in the game:
“While we give players the chance to turn certain gameplay features on and off, LGBT+ is a fact of life, not a game button that you can turn on and off.”
