Grounded, an Xbox first-party survival adventure game developed by Obsidian Entertainment, is being adapted into an animated TV series by Star Wars: Clone Wars writer Brent Friedman, according to Deadline.
The animated series will take place in the same universe as the game. With next-generation technology, four friends who are smaller than anything else will be the subject. These friends will learn how to survive in a backyard full of dangers.
The adaptation is being done in collaboration with Waterproof Studios/SC Productions, Kinetic Media and Bardel Entertainment. Friedman is working with Brien Goodrich on the story.
Bardel Entertainment CEO Tina Chow said of the animated series, “It’s really exciting to dive into the bizarre universe of Grounded. This partnership will expand the journey of great discovery and adventure and will be a great collaboration.”
