The Last of Us and Uncharted 4 game director Bruce Straley returns to game development
Posting in a video on YouTube, he said, “I left the industry in 2017 and wasn’t sure if I wanted to make games anymore, but as I moved away, I kept thinking about this medium and everything. Everything I wanted to do drove me to come back.” “So I talked to some of my friends and we started prototyping,” Straley said. The idea started to get exciting again, and I felt like I had to do it.”
While Straley doesn’t give any clues as to what Wildflower Interactive’s first project will be, he says the studio is focused on making small, creative-style games that explore the possibilities of our website environment. Wildflower’s current team comes from all over the industry. Team members are experienced people working on games such as Call of Duty, Uncharted 4, The Last of Us, etc. Straley says the studio already has an exciting future. “I’m so excited about what we’re building here,” Straley concluded.
We can think that this announcement is a harbinger of new and beautiful games in the future. But that will be evident by Straley’s tenacity and determination.
