For the ongoing war in Ukraine, studios such as Epic Games and Riot Games have made pioneering philanthropic efforts, including the video game industry. They continue to touch lives inside and outside the war-torn country. Of course, this is a very bad result for the players in Russia. Simply put, FIFA 23 will have a lot of impact on the Russian embargo .
FIFA 23 will not include Russian teams
Electronic Arts has confirmed that no Russian team will be in FIFA 23 as part of its continued support for Ukraine. In short, no Russian club or Russian national team will take part in the final game of the series. This movement, which was initially a rumor, has now become official with the latest statement. In an official statement to Eurogames, the EA side said, “EA Sports is in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and like many voices in the football world, calls for an end to the occupation of Ukraine.”

Even if such embargoes imposed on Russia are supportive, the Russian players are the most affected by this work. After PlayStation announced that it stopped sales in Russia, the fact that the big games to be released were not included in the Russian market dragged the players to a dead end. In addition, EA and various other companies have not cut off access to those who buy games that are already banned. EA, on the other hand, has not announced whether Belarusian teams will remain in the game, but it would not be too surprising if they are not included in FIFA 23.

Against these sanctions, the Russian Government did not stand idle and took steps to legalize pirated games in March 2022. A state-approved game engine has reportedly been developed as a competitor to Unreal Engine 5 technology, approved by the Russian Ministry of Digital Development.
FIFA 23 is expected to be released on September 30 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
