The news from Ubisoft last week wasn’t very encouraging; there were games that were postponed, there were games that were canceled. Similar reports continue to come in this week, but once in a while claims about games under development come up once again. One of these claims will be in Assassin’s Creed Infinity and is related to the game codenamed Project Red.
Jason Schreier, in his messages shared on Twitter recently, says that AC Infinity is designed as a platform to host multiple AC games, and one of these games is a game called Project Red. Jeff Grubb has also informed in his Youtube post a while ago that the game may take place in Japan.
In recent weeks, there have also been claims that the next AC game may be Aztec-themed; Schreier denied this claim, saying that the 2 games he had knowledge of the development process did not have an Aztec theme. He also mentioned that the next AC game, AC Rift, will take place in Baghdad. Considering that there will be a play with Basim from AC Valhalla, this is a very reasonable situation. Meanwhile, a current claim about the AC Rift is that the game has been postponed and may debut in May-June 2023 at the earliest.
If Grubb’s claim is true, it means that the long-talked about Asian-themed AC game is also being developed under the code name Project Red. Already the followers of the series have been waiting for a long time to sail to Japan. While I was waiting for a Samurai game from Ubisoft, Ghost of Tsushima came from Sucker Punch, and I think it was very good. Now, it seems that Ubisoft has also decided to use this theme.
Of course, we will only be able to confirm the veracity of these claims when official announcements arrive. We are looking forward to it, we are following it.
