Warface has been the center of attention since the first day it came into our lives. While we found the game’s Franchise Leader Ivan Pabiarzhyni, who has undergone significant changes in the intervening time, we have conveyed all the questions we have in mind to him. Below you can find this delightful interview.
Let’s start with the first question of each interview. Can we recognize you?
First of all, I would like to express my satisfaction in reaching all your readers through you. We really value our Turkish players. It’s great to be having this conversation with you today and answering your questions.
In short, to mention myself, my. I’m the Franchise Leader in GAMESte Warface. Warface is a popular FPS game with over 100 million registered players available for free download on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Therefore, it is one of our most important products. I am responsible for reaching a wider audience of this important product.
Aside from your career, how much time do you spend playing games? What kind of games do you prefer?
The game is a life choice for me. I’ve loved games since I was a kid, I studied Economics and Computer Science in college. Only after graduating did I manage to realize my dream and started working in the playground. Today, I don’t have as much free time as I’d like to play, but I still have 1-2 hours a day during the week and 3-4 hours on the weekend. I play these games to include Warface and its opponents so as not to miss the dynamics of the shooter game genre. Of course, I play other games. For example, if you want to use In 2020, I managed to complete 68 different different types of games. These games help me open my mind, evaluate the in-game features I’m interested in, and inspire new ideas.
How did you enter the gaming industry and join My.Gamese?
I started my professional career in 2008 as a Quality Control Engineer at EPAM Systems. In 2009, I started working as a support staff at Nival, where I was quickly promoted to assistant producer and later to senior producer. I was leading projects like Level-R, Seven Souls Online and Forsaken World. In 2015, as Senior Producer of Armored Warface, my. I joined GAMESe. I became a franchise leader with franchise development and game launch on consoles.
Warface is a game that has managed to stand on its feet despite facing serious competition. How do you think time affects Warfacei?
Despite the many challenges in our path, I think we have made the right use of time. At this point, my. At GAMES, thanks to the efforts of our built-in studio AllodsTeamin, we have grown tremendously and reached new platforms.
By switching to Xbox One in 2018 and Nintendo Switch in 2020, we became the first CryEngine game to be released on this hybrid platform. We’ve also invited over 100 million players from around the world to the Warface universe. We have organized numerous regional and international esports tournaments and inspired many players in their careers. In addition, in 2016, we were one of the first to use the Battle Pass system in our game. By the way, this was very positively received by our players and we followed this approach. We release new Battle Pass seasons with new ranking matches to provide users with different types of new content each season.
How hard is it to manage a live-service game like Warface? What kind of problems do you face the most?
I can say that the main problem with live-service games is to keep everything constantly fresh and to remain interesting to players. For this exact reason, we found the key to success in 2013, the beginning of the project. We considered it a rule for ourselves to publish updates monthly, regularly. It’s as simple as that. So how was the process? Every 6 months, we release a major season that changes the overall story of the game by adding serious and important content to the game. For example, this content can be a new raid or PvE task. Every three months, we release some pretty big updates that add new PvP maps or new in-game mechanics, specs. Every month we broadcast an in-game event or a tournament with new weapons. We’ve also introduced quality-of-life improvements and fixes to in-game bugs. Starting in December 2020, we’ve launched the Warface seasons, combining important in-game updates with technical feature changes. We’re going to try to run one season every quarter instead of every six months. As for regular monthly updates, we keep them as they are. In addition, we always want to reward players for their participation, so every time we create new content in the game, we add new skins, new equipment, badges, etc. so that every time a player joins Warfacee, we bring them together with incentives that motivate them to succeed in the game.
You have a game with a lot of content and variety. What awaits us in the coming period, what surprises do you have?
It’s time to announce the new Heist season coming to the game in the coming days. This season will bring a new PvE mission, battle pass, new PvP map, new equipment, weapon series, rewards and much more. Those who wish for the heist season trailer can check it out below.
Warface returned to the Turkish market with turkish language support. What are your expectations and what surprises do you have for us?
First of all, we want many Turkish players who love the shooter game genre to meet Warface. We know this game has a lot to offer a player. The variety of different game modes, both PvE and PvP, hundreds of unique real weapons, thousands of achievements, and a wide range of exclusive PvE missions (currently available in 14 PvE missions) from different corners of the world will be waiting for players. Our game is so rich in in-game content that I’m sure the newcomers will be surprised by this variety. The fact that the game is offered for free on different platforms is an advantage for gamers. Anyone who enters the game can play the game under the same conditions. The only difference is progress, which is something that anyone can succeed with thanks to our updated progression system and many in-game activities that help improve in-game ranking. Each time players join the game, they can set their own long-term or short-term goals and continue to play to keep track of them. We hope Turkish players will enjoy our game and help us with our goal of making Warfacei accessible to as many players as possible from all over the world. As for the surprises, we prepare many activities for Turkish players, including the Gamify tournaments on March 28, as well as other interesting activities in April. Keep following us!
Turkey has made significant progress in esports. Do you have a plan for the esports operation of Warface brands in the Turkish market?
Yes, we have plans like this, and now we’re in the middle of preparing an agenda. We know that internet cafes are very popular in Turkey and we are starting to discover more in this direction.
My. There are many games in GAMES other than Warface. Do you have any plans for the Turkish operations of these games?
My. GameSin has more than 150 games in its portfolio, 80 of which are active. Within these games we are talking not only about PC and console games, but also mobile games. Some of our games include: Warface, Skyforge, Conqueror’s Blade, Left to Survive, Amedican Dad, Hustle Custle, War Robots and much more. As a company, we bring together dozens of talented studios, developing various genres of games and sharing the same passion. This passion is to make modern games where every player can find an adventure that he has always wanted. We bring together different groups of people who share our passion for the game and love to create, support and play them. In this way, we are always ready to explore new markets and approach new players to learn what they expect and how we can respond to these needs. We see Turkey as one of the most prominent and therefore important regions for us. We’re acting accordingly. For example, last year we launched our MMO Conqueror’s Blade game in Turkey, this year we went further and released Turkish language-supported Warfacei with a dedicated server for all Turkish players. And I don’t think it’s my. At GAMES, I predict it’s just the beginning for us. It was great to address our players in Turkey through you. Thank you for your time!
