Grounded, an open-world action adventure game developed by Obsidian Entertainment, was released in early access in mid-2020. Since then, Obsidian has provided frequent updates for Grounded at regular intervals. Now, Obsidian Entertainment has clarified the Grounded full release date, stating that the game is complete and ready to be fully experienced.
Grounded full release date announced as September 27
Grounded will be released for PC and Xbox consoles on September 27. Grounded game director Adam Brennecke shared a short video on Friday to celebrate the second anniversary of Grounded’s early access launch. In the video, Brennecke thanked all of Grounded’s fans for playing the game and their contribution over the past two years. He then confirmed Grounded’s September 27 release date.
Obsidian will release its latest update to Grounded’s public test servers. Update 0.14.0 includes several exciting features that Grounded players will appreciate. These include other modifications such as the Gnat pet, the Cookery building, armor refurbishment, and a weapon upgrade system.

Brennecke also announced that the Grounded television series is under development. The grounded game will be adapted into an animated series by Star Wars: The Clone Wars writer Brent Friedman. He said they are still at the very beginning, but they are happy to announce it.
Grounded will debut on September 27 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
