For the game, which was first announced in 2020, developer Fatshark released the postponement announcement. Initially, the Warhammer 40K: Darktide release date was announced as 2021, then postponed to Spring 2022 due to COVID. Then it was postponed again to September 13 and finally today we were informed that the game would be released in November. Fatshark’s highly anticipated new game will be released in late November.
Warhammer 40K: Darktide release date – November 30, 2022
The developer announced in a post on social media that they postponed the game. The statement said:
“Today, we decided to postpone the Warhammer 40K: Darktide release date for PC to November 30. For Xbox Series X / S, it will come with a specific release date shortly after PC.
Putting off a game is one of the hardest decisions developers face, and we’re not excited to do so. Still, we hope it reflects our commitment to giving you the time and doing whatever it takes to make the best game possible.”
The developer made the reason for the postponement clear, although not explicitly. “After great feedback from you, we understood that we needed some time to improve stability and performance. These two are critical to making sure we give you the best experience.”
Developer Fatshark also says that beta testing will begin soon. Users who want to participate in these technical tests can register on the official website of the game.
To sum up, Warhammer End Times Fatshark, the developer behind Vermintide and Vermintide 2, has set the Warhammer 40K: Darktide release date for PC as November 30, 2022. Since the Xbox Series X/S version will also be coming shortly after the PC, we expect it to come out without the calendars showing 2023. The game will only be released on these two platforms. It will not be released for PlayStation.
