In a statement released on Friday, Japanese gaming giant Sega reported that it has adapted two plays of the 1990s to the big screen. Sega also stated that it has partnered with production company Picturestart for film adaptations.
The first of the two games is Comix Zone. This game was released in 1995 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. It then came to PC and Game Boy Advance platforms. Another game, Space Channel 5, came to PS2 consoles, GBA and Dreamcast platforms in the 90s.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Space Channel 5 will tell the story of an unlucky fast-food worker who comes from the future to save the world. Aliens use the only thing that unites all humans on the planet: love for dances.
