Over the past two weekends, Capcom has presented a PlayStation-exclusive Resident Evil Village demo; Or rather, it split the one-hour demo, which will be presented at the end of next week, in two, allowing PS owners to play beforehand. In the first of the demos, we wandered around the town for 30 minutes, and in the second we were going on a tour of Dimitrescu Castle in a half-hour period.
Demos are a good opportunity for us to experience the game first hand. Although there were some problems in these examples. Capcom’s time limit on the demo isn’t something we’re really strangers to, but when it was made available in a very limited time frame, many gamers complained about the situation. After all, we had to play the demo in just a few hours, and many missed the chance to browse the demo because they missed this time period.
Capcom has also heeded the complaints and decided to extend its demo event this weekend. They will make the demo available for 1 week, which they previously announced could be played for 24 hours. We will be able to play this 1-hour demo until May 10th, which means that it will be available for some time after the game’s release.
Good news for Resident Evil fans. I don’t know the reason why it’s not constantly available, though, or why a demo isn’t being prepared that allows a certain part of the game to be played over and over again. But it’s better than nothing; As it is, the demo works.
Resident Evil Village will be released on May 7.
