The James Bond game may not arrive before 2025
As noticed by the user DarkDetective on Twitter, IO Interactive gives important clues in a section of the report. The company, which expects to generate 450-500 million Krone ($60-67 million) in earnings in the fiscal year ending March 2023, predicts that this could fall in the coming period. They state that this income may decrease for two years due to the lack of new games. In fact, it turns out here that the company has no plans to release a new game until 2025.
The report is home to the statements in favor of Hitman 3 that “We have had several years with solid revenues and profits due to the release of a game.” “There is a risk that EBITDA and profits will fall in the next few years. That’s because of the long production stages ahead of us before the next games are released.” “More precisely, the forecasts for the 2024 and 2025 financial year show a significant decline.”
What we understand from this statement is that until the end of the 2025 financial year – corresponding to March 31, 2025 – IO Interactive’s new James Bond game will not be released. Developed under the code name Project 007, the game was announced in November 2020 with a short CGI trailer. At the same time, new job postings were opened on the company’s website.
