Riot Games announced that Project K developed a new card game based on the League of Legends brand. In the promotional video, the game director Dave Guskin and producer Chengran Chai introduced this new project. Project K, League of Legends’s digital card game is not a physical version of Legends of Runeterra, but inspiration from it for design and environments.

Project K will be given to each champion on their ownmatic deck. In the promotional video, Viktor, Volibear, Yasuo and Jinx were shown. Guskin said to create a League of Legends game that will appeal to a different audience.
Guskin added that players are those who want to immerse together around the table, liked games, environment and characters together with their family and friends. Project K is designed as both casual and competitive game.
The development team expects Project K to be “best social card game” and have a competitive ecosystem besides regular events. The next year of the card game is planned to launch the region.
Riot Games also announced that the site will be China to experience Project K first. Players can try various trials in the Teamfight Tactics tournament organized in Makao on 13-14 December 2024.
Project K can be played in traditional 1v1 card game format, but can also play in groups up to 4 people. Both Rune will be won and these can be used for units and spells.
Project K will be one of the fastest developed games for Riot Games. Besides other League of Legends side products such as Teamfight Tactics and Wild Rift, there are 2XKO fighting game planned to be released next year.
