A short trailer for Elden Ring was leaked again. While the developer’s parent company hinted that the game could be released in the current financial year, a short six-second cross-section for From Software’s anticipated game has been posted online.
A new 6-second clip for Elden Ring has been leaked
The latest clip from the 4Chan forum, which quickly spread on social media, comes with the Bandai Namco hidden watermark featured in the Elden Ring images leaked in March. Let’s say that the clip may have been taken from a history of more than a year of development and therefore we should approach it in the light of this information. Since the highly anticipated souls spin-off was announced at E3 2019, we can say that it has disappeared.
Again, the leaks pointed to a release date for the game, which had almost no official information shared other than the leaks. An image that has emerged in recent weeks indicates that the game will be released on June 14, 2021. However, developer From Software and publisher Bandai Namco have yet to confirm or reject the image.
From Software parent company Kadokawa Corporation said it expects to release new games in its current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2022. He also confirmed that some of his games had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the VGC first reported in March, we understand that Elden Ring has been postponed several times due to the pandemic. Some people with knowledge of the game’s development said earlier this year that production had been significantly hampered by a year-long remote working restrictions in Place in Japan.
Elden Ring is set in a world created in partnership with A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki said Elden Ring represented “an evolution” of the Dark Souls series he created. While Dark Souls’ spiritual successors Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice came up with new ideas, Miyazaki said From Software’s upcoming play went much further than that.
Jason Schreier, a prominent media figure, suggested in March that he had strong evidence that the game would be shown “relatively soon.” While the curious wait of the players continues, the eyes have been turned to E3 2021.
