DC Batman and Superman, the two locomotive characters of the universe, are once again preparing to start the screen from scratch. In the Batman part of the job, there is clarity with Robert Pattinson in the lead role and Matt Reeves at the beginning of the project. But there are still a lot of question marks for Superman. Henry Cavill, who plays Supes in the current DCEU, has been re-signed but the character will be used with less stage time. The DC/WB partnership, which wants to tell a new Superman story from the start, is pursuing a very different project.
According to reports, preparations are underway for a black Superman film led by J.J. Abrams and Ta-Nehisi Coates. The name Michael B. Jordan is the most frequently mentioned actor for the next generation of Superman. The successful actor has previously made it clear he wants to be Superman. According to reports, the film’s future will be different than thought.
It is not yet clear which ten-year period the film, described as a black Superman film set in the twentieth century, will be based on. Another interesting detail is that Warner Bros. has begun to look for a black director to direct the film, as J.J. Abrams only serves as a producer. The studio, which probably wants to double the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universewith itsgreatest characters, Superman, will be able to succeed in this plan.
