Sunset Overdrive can come to PlayStation consoles.
It turns out that Sony Interactive Entertainment has registered a trademark for Sunset Overdrive on the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Sunset Overdrive, which was released by Microsoft and developer Insomniac Games, first debuted for Xbox One in 2014 and came to PC in 2018.
Sunset Overdrive intellectual property rights are owned by Insomniac Games, and Insomniac Games has been Sony Interactive Entertainment’s first party studio since 2019.
Drew Murray, director of Sunset Overdrive, left Insomniac Games in 2018 to join Microsoft studio The Initiative, and in recent months he has left The Initiative to return to the Insomniac Games.
