AT&T, warnermedia’s parent company, has made a significant move to compete with streaming platforms such as Netflix and Disney+. AT&T, which merged WarnerMedia and Discovery in a massive $43 billion deal, will also make significant changes to WarnerMedia’s gaming wing.
AT&T will sell part of Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, part of WarnerMedia, IGN claims. Although the details of this sale process are not yet known, within the WBIE; NetherRealm, Monolith, Avalanche, Rocksteady, TT Games, Playdemic and WB GamesSan Diego, Boston, Montreal, San Francisco and New York studios are available.
According to initial statements from the company, names such as Mortal Kombat, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, Batman: Arkham and the Lego series will continue to be in place. But some names will disappear with the new studio to be created. Let’s see if there’s any suitors for these studios.
