Publisher Square Enix and developer People Can Fly announced that TPS RPG game Outriders was played by more than 3.5 million different players in the first month, with an average playing time of over 30 hours.
Outriders debuted on April 1, 2021 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC(Steam, Epic Games Store),and Stadia. Included in Xbox Game Pass on console.
The Outriders are on track to become the company’s next big series, Square Enix reports.
Jon Brooke of Square Enix said, “It’s never easy to get a new game IP out, and we’re very grateful for the community’s support and feedback. We continue to listen carefully to our community and can be confident that gaming experience improvements will come in the coming weeks and months. We look forward to expanding Outriders in the future,” he said.
