Knockout City,EA’s new game, which is temporarily free to play, attracted more than two million players in a matter of days. The game, which is technically inspired by the burning ball game, has been on the radar of the players with its fun structure.
Knockout City seem to have the momentum
While it may not seem like a very ambitious game to the cast ahead of its release with its released trailers, Knockout City has attracted a lot of attention, especially with it being free to play for a certain period of time. As announced by EA, the production has managed to reach more than 2 million players within days of its release, and seems to have gained momentum. Having failed to achieve the success it wanted with the Rocket Arena they tried last year, the company seems to have found its chance in Knockout City.
The game also benefits from being free to play for the first 10 days and makes it easier for players to dive into a game based on a burning ball. It also includes full cross-game support that allows different platforms to play with each other. However, the game has a surprisingly competitive ecosystem and has received very good reviews from different segments. Metacritic scored 76 and received 72 points from the players.
Knockout City is also available to users who subscribe to the service because it is located in the EA Play library. The “Block Party Edition” version for PC on Steam costs $139.99, while users with the original game can pay $69.99 to upgrade to Deluxe.
