The cake was a lie, but the Portal movie is real.
The film adaptation, based on Valve’s puzzle platform game, was first announced in 2013, and eight years later, the film is still alive.
In a recent interview with IGN, producer J. J. Abrams announced that the film Portal is still being produced at Warner Bros.
J. J. Abrams said the script was written, they were excited to start shooting, and eventually things got back on track. J. J. Abrams thinks the film has a lot of potential and will be super fun.
Also for the half-life film, which was announced in September 2016 by J. J. Abrams’ production company Bad Robot, J. J. Abrams stated that they are not currently actively involved in the project.
