Capcom has been coming up with new games for two of its major brands this year, Monster Hunter and Resident Evil, but expectations of them were likely high. As it turns out, both Resident Evil Village and Monster Hunter Rise have no trouble meeting these expectations.
Monster Hunter Rise debuted for switch on March 26. The game surpassed 4 million sales in the first 3 days, 5 million as of April 4 and 6 million as of April 27; By the time he was in his 2nd month, he had reached 7 million sales. For a game that debuts exclusively for the Switch, this number marks a really significant success.
In terms of comparison; Monster Hunter: World; It debuted on PS4 and Xbox One on January 26, 2018; It had 5 million sales in its first 3 days, 6 million as of February 9 and 7.5 million as of March 5. The game, which also came to PC afterwards, is already at the top of Capcom’s best-selling games list.
Monster Hunter Rise will get the PC version in 2022. That could boost sales as in the MHW example and set new records for Capcom. I’ll tell you what, the Capcom mint is in full swing, 🙂 I hope this reflects for us players and there will be some good new games to come in the coming years.
