Horizon: Forbidden West reappeared at last week’s State of Play event. With a long gameplay video, we both saw how beautiful the graphics were and eliminated many question marks in our heads in terms of gameplay dynamics. We have also learned that new elements have been added to the gameplay, especially with high-rise climbing and underwater dynamics. So what do the regions where Horizon: Forbidden West, which seems quite ambitious in terms of atmosphere, actually look and where is it on the map?
They compared horizon: Forbidden West to real locations
First of all, a venue in the game has been directly compared to the real-life version. If you’ve ever played games like Watch Dogs 2 or Driver in San Francisco, you know what an iconic area this road is. In the game, it is clearly depicted how this place, along with the rest of the world, succumbs to nature. Check out how this road called Lombard Street looks in the game below.
Apart from this comparison, before horizon: Forbidden West presentation began, the Playstation team shared a long waiting screen showing the ambience and different locations in the game. Based on landscape pictures swirling around this screen, fans of the game have determined which regions Horizon: Forbidden West will actually take place in. You can check out the names of the known regions of the game for now and which regions they correspond to on today’s map below.
